Adding a Condition

About this task

Use the Condition activity to direct the workflow based on predefined criteria.

Procedure

  1. In the Workflow Canvas, open the Project tab.
  2. Select the Workflow dropdown. The Workflow Designer opens.
  3. Open the Activities tab.
  4. Drag the Condition workflow activity onto the Workflow Designer.
  5. In the Properties panel, enter a name for the activity in the Display Text field. The name appears on the icon in the workflow.
  6. Select the Condition(s) button. The Check Condition window opens. Use this window to define the criteria for directing your workflow.
  7. On the Check Condition panel, choose whether at least one condition or all conditions in your criteria must be met:
    • any
    • all
  8. In Field, select the field name on whose value you base the criteria.
  9. In Operator, select the method to evaluate the field value:
    • Equal to
    • Not equal to
    • Contains
    • Starts with
    • Greater than
    • Less than
    • Is empty
    • Is not empty
  10. In the Value field, enter the value you are comparing against the field's value.
    Tip: The Value field does not appear for the choices Is empty and Is not empty.
  11. To add another condition, select Add.
  12. Select Save in the SOTI Snap banner to apply your changes.
