SOTI Snap can share apps in one of two methods:
- Shared by many users with access to the same SOTI Snap channel/tenant.
- Shared between more than one different SOTI Snap
channels.
For a single
SOTI Snap channel/tenant, sharing an app with
other users enables you and them to develop an app collaboratively. Invite other users
to your app using to grant other users a role, choose from:
- Viewer role for read privileges
- Co-owner role for edit privileges
- App Administrator role as an app owner.

Sharing apps between
SOTI Snap channels reduces the effort to
recreate identical or near-identical apps. Achieve this by creating shareable tokens
that enables anyone else with the token to import the app into their
SOTI Snap console.
Important: When you export an app, a shareable token links to a clone of the
app, not the exported app itself. Any further changes to the exported app are not
automatically copied to the token's snapshot clone. You need to create a new
shareable token when you make further changes to the exported app.
Important: When you import an app, the imported app
is a clone of the original exported app. Any changes to the imported app are not
copied to the original exported app. Likewise, any changes to the original exported
app are not copied to all existing imported apps.
