Factory Reset Protection
Use the Factory Reset Protection profile configuration to control which users can unlock a device following a factory reset, thus protecting your company data from unauthorized access. You do this when:
| Configure features supported for AMAPI devices only | If enabled, allows configuration of features supported for AMAPI-enrolled devices only. Once the profile configuration is assigned to a device, the user cannot change this option while editing the profile. |
| Disable Factory Reset | When this option is enabled, the device will not prompt device users for a set of whitelisted credentials following a factory reset. Note: If a device is targeted by two profiles with conflicting Factory Reset Protection settings, the Disable Factory Reset Protection setting will take priority. |
| Add Users | Click to specify a new Google account that is authorized to unlock the device following a factory reset. |
| Google Account ID | Enter the Google Account ID of the Google account that you want to be able to unlock
the device following a factory reset. To learn how to find the ID of a
Google account, see Factory Reset Protection. The Google ID is not the username. Note: If the Configure features
supported for AMAPI devices only option is enabled, entering
the Google Account ID is optional for AMAPI-enrolled
							devices. |
| Associated Email | Enter the email address that corresponds to the Google ID. For example: user@gmail.com |
