Managing SOTI Snap Data Access Controller Settings

Customize the settings of your SOTI Snap DAC.

From Security tab's Security sub-tab, you can manage the password complexity for SOTI Snap applications accessing your API endpoints.

You can configure the following:
  • The minimum number of characters the password must have.
  • If the password must have at least one digit.
  • If the password must have at least one upper case letter.
  • If the password must have at least one lower case letter.
  • If the password must have at least one special character (#?!@$^&*-).

After configuring the API password complexity, select Save.

From Security tab's Driver's sub-tab, choose the ODBC driver to connect to the Microsoft SQL Server database. You need to choose an ODBC driver when creating a new service for SOTI Snap DAC using Microsoft SQL Server (see Creating a New Service for SOTI Snap Data Access Controller):

You can choose from the following:
  • SQL Server
  • ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server
  • SQL Server Native Client 11.0
  • SQL Server Native Client RDA 11.0

Choose the driver and select Save.
