Pushing a File Using a Device Action
About this task
For certain device types you can use a device action to push a file in the SOTI Connect file store to a device.
To push a file in the file store to an eligible device using a device action:
Procedure

On the menu bar, select the ☰ main menu button and select
Devices.
The Devices view opens.

In the left pane, select the device group that has the device or devices to
which you want to push a file.
The devices in the selected group appear in the right pane.

In the right pane, do one of the following:
- Select the selection button beside the device or devices to which you want to push a file. The device action bar appears.
- Select the device name of the device to which you want to push a file. The device information panel opens.
- On the device action bar, or in the device information panel, Select the More button to open the Device Actions menu.

On the Device Actions menu, select Download File From File Store.
Note: Depending on the device and file type, the action might instead be Upload File From File Store, Upload Firmware From File Store, or something similar.The Download File From File Store dialog box opens.
- In the Download File From File Store dialog box, choose Select File and select the file you want to push to the device. Then select the content type of the file. When done, select OK.
Results
The selected file is pushed to the device or devices.
