Adding a Firmware File to the File Store

About this task

You can add firmware files to the SOTI Connect File Store so they can be distributed to supported devices.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Main Menu > File Store. The File Store view appears.
  2. Select Upload File.
    The Upload File window appears.

  3. From the File Type drop-down list, choose Firmware.
  4. Use the Select File button to upload the firmware file from your computer.
  5. Configure Automatic Deletion:
    • Never: The file remains until manually deleted.
    • Date: Select a specific deletion date.
  6. Optional: Add a description for the file.
  7. Select Upload to complete upload.

  8. Enter the Firmware Version.
    Note: The firmware version auto fills if the uploaded file includes metadata for versioning.
  9. The applicable Device Types and Models are auto selected.
    Note: Users can explicitly select device types and models if required.
  10. Select Save to finish uploading the firmware file to the File Store.

Results

The firmware file is successfully uploaded and available in the File Store.
