Data Connections
Note: Data connections are configured on a per-app basis. You must
configure a new data connection for each app.
Link your apps to external tools
to extend their functionality or track app usage. You can add Data Source Connections to
pull data from an external source into the app, and Data Export Connections to send data
from the app to an external source.With data connections, you can populate a dropdown widget with values pulled from a Microsoft Excel worksheet. You can also automatically send data entered into app fields to a Google Drive folder.
Data connections are one-way and can only import or export data. Certain external data sources appear as both export and import but they are entirely separate connections and have no bearing on each other.
