Analyzing Device Details

You can view details of a single device using the Device Details panel. This panel lets you see events for selected topics over a 72 hour period and drill down into the details.

To open the Device Details panel from the map, select a device.

To open the Device Details panel from the list, select the Get Details button beside a device on the list.

Callout Description
1 Use flags to assign special notes to a device and also to tell users of important issues. Flags appear on the map beside the device.

View a message associated with a flag by selecting the device icon. A popup dialog lets you read, add, edit or delete the flag message and to select the color of the flag. See Adding a Flag to a Device for more information.

3 This section displays a graphical depiction of the topic selected from the list.

You can drag the timeline indicator (the blue dashed line) backwards up to 72 hours to see events during that period. As you do this, the topic values displayed above the chart also change to reflect the selected time. Each node represents an event. Select the node to open a panel showing the event details.
Note: When the device is indoors, the coordinates are retrieved from the indoor data provider. See Using Indoor Location.

For Indoor Location, Lat/Long coordinates are retrieved from the indoor data provider.

4 The Event chart shows up to 72 hours of automatically generated notifications of special events that may affect the operation of the device. For example, device drops and excessive battery level drop over a short period of time.

This section displays device events. Two or more events that occur within a 5-minute period get consolidated into a single node. Select a node to see details about the events that occurred at that time.
5 Activate Remote Control and Live Support to interact directly with the device end user.
