Release Highlights
-
Standard Topics – A variety of new standard topics have been added. This allows for an out-of-the-box choice of topics that can be added to Views. New topics include Wi-Fi Signal, Cell Net Type, Cell Band, Cell RSRP, Cell RSRQ, Network Switches, Hourly Drops, and many more
-
Tracking – Three new device tracking methods have been introduced, enabling tracking via a map display or a time-based list display. The tracking modes are:
- Automatic – Displays each device’s path in a distinct color on a map, or shows path duration in list mode
- Heat – Displays the color-coded value of a chosen topic on a map route or over time in list mode
- Spot – Displays color-coded spots indicating the value of a chosen topic for a device’s route in map mode, or shows the color-coded topic value over time in list mode
-
Configurable Monitoring Window – The maximum time window for caching topic information on a device is now configurable. You can set the window size for a group of devices to be between 2 and 72 hours
-
Shared Topics – Live View can now be configured to retrieve and cache values from third-party apps via the XT Sock interface. These values are cached for the duration of the configured monitoring window
-
XT Sock Interface – The interface has been enhanced to allow for a wider range of content delivery to Live View:
- Security – Apps can be verified via a signature
- Events – Third-party apps can now trigger asynchronous events that SSOTI XSight agent can capture and report. Each event can include a set of name-value pairs describing the event. Users can select which events they want to monitor in a View
-
Flags – Devices can now have multiple flags, which can be independently added, edited or cleared. If any flags are active, a summary marker appears on the device icon on the map or in list display mode
-
System Views – This new type of View allows users to jump directly into Live View from SOTI MobiControl or other SOTI ONE Platform products with a pre-configured setup
-
Sensor Matrix– The new Linux SOTI XSight agent is designed for use with Raspberry PI devices, which can function as fixed location sensors. These sensors can be installed in a grid or at key locations to provide various metrics. Sensor matrices can be configured for air quality, humidity, Wi-Fi/cellular signal quality, and more
-
Indoor Location Support – You can now view and track indoor devices on floor maps, as well as business-critical data for each device. In this release, SOTI XSight integrates with Cisco Spaces, Extreme Networks, and Juniper Networks as third-party Wi-Fi positioning data providers for seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor devices
-
Indoor Location Design Studio – Create custom indoor maps with seamless access to the Design Studio Library from within the Indoor Location Management workflow. The library is a comprehensive list of all images created in Design Studio and can be accessed and incorporated during the "add location" process. Additionally, Design Studio introduces enhanced file management features, allowing users to preview, create, save, delete, and open existing files
-
Data API – A new API endpoint was introduced with flexible syntax, allowing standard and shared topics to be retrieved from multiple devices over a specified time range
