Editing a Rule

About this task

Editing a rule allows administrators to update the rule’s conditions, scope, or actions. This is useful when business requirements change or when you need to optimize how the rule behaves.
Note: The rule triggers every time the Update button is selected, even if no changes are made.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Main Menu > Rules. The Rules view opens.
  2. In the left pane, select View All Rules.
  3. In the right pane, do one of the following:
    • Select the rule you want to edit and choose Edit.
    • Select the button beside the rule and choose Edit from the list.
    The Edit Rule wizard opens.
  4. In the Edit Rule wizard, update the rule’s details as needed in each panel.
  5. Select Update to save and apply the changes.

Results

The rule has been successfully updated and will now execute according to the modified configuration.
