Deleting a User Role

Before you begin

  • Ensure you have administrative privileges to manage user roles in SOTI Connect.
  • Reassign any users currently assigned to the role you intend to delete, so they have a different role.

About this task

Use this task to delete a user role in SOTI Connect.
Note: You can delete only:
  • The Global User role.
  • A user-created role that is not assigned to any users.

Procedure

  1. From the SOTI Connect main menu, select Users and Permissions.
  2. In the left pane, hover over the user role you want to delete.
    Note: You can delete only those user roles that you created and that are not assigned to any users.
  3. Select the menu button next to the role, then select Delete. A confirmation dialog box opens.
  4. In the confirmation dialog box, select Confirm.

Results

The selected user role is successfully deleted from SOTI Connect.
