Generating and Deploying a Certificate

About this task

This task explains how to generate a certificate and deploy it to devices using SOTI Connect.

Procedure

  1. From the SOTI Connect main menu, select Devices.
  2. Select the device you wish to deploy a certificate for.
    Note: Only the following OEM's support meta transactions:
    • BIXOLON
    • Printronix
    • SATO V8
    • Zebra MQTT
    • Rest Thermal Printer Simulator
  3. Deploy a certificate to the device:
    • If a certificate has already been generated, select More > Deploy Certificate.
    • If a certificate needs to be generated first, select More > Generate and Deploy Certificate. Select the certificate template from the Certificate Template dropdown and select Save.

Results

The certificate is generated (if necessary) and deployed to the selected device.
