Adding tvOS Devices
Enroll your tvOS devices to enforce security policies and ensure a secure and efficient
device management experience. All tvOS devices use Automated Device Enrollment (ADE).
SOTI has tested and certified Apple devices running tvOS 16
and tvOS 17. Apple also extends its support to devices running tvOS 10.2 or later. Users
must ensure compatibility with their specific tvOS version when managing devices with
SOTI solutions.
Remember: Before enrolling your tvOS devices, install the APNS certificate. See Creating APNS Configurations for details.
Automated Device Enrollment requires binding the SOTI MobiControl server with Apple Business Manager (ABM). See Creating ADE Accounts for details.
Attention: Apple tvOS devices may become unresponsive at a
specific screen during the Automatic Device Enrollment (ADE) process. This issue can
occur in certain situations, such as when enrollment attempts surpass the policy’s
maximum enrollment capacity. If this happens, review the documentation for Resetting your Apple TV.
