Zebra LifeGuard OTA
Use this page to begin registration of your Zebra LifeGuard account, and to view the device enrollment and status information. For details, see Register Zebra LifeGuard OTA Account.
The account registration is necessary to support over-the-air (OTA) firmware upgrades for Zebra devices. For details, see Upgrade Firmware on Zebra Devices with LifeGuard OTA.
Minimum requirements for a device to use Zebra LifeGuard OTA are as follows:
- The device is a Zebra device enrolled as AE
- The device meets the minimum OS requirements
- Devices must have Zebra Data Services (ZDS) enabled (this is the default)
- The device meets the minimum requirements for FOTA
Register | Select to open the Zebra LifeGuard OTA portal (in a separate web page), where you can complete the account registration. This button appears only if you have not registered the Zebra LifeGuard account for your SOTI MobiControl instance. |
Sync |
Select to synchronize the device enrollment information displayed on the page with the actual enrollment status (via the Zebra APIs). This icon appears only if you configured your SOTI MobiControl instance for the Zebra LifeGuard account. Note: The information on the page updates automatically with a predefined frequency. Use the manual synchronization only if you need an immediate update.

Reset | Select to unbind the current account. A prompt asks you to
register the new account details after you select Continue. The
devices from the former Zebra account will automatically be
re-enrolled to the new account. Note: If you
have registered a Zebra account in the last hour, restart all
open browser windows before resetting to clear your
cache. |
