Determining Which Batteries Need Replacement

About this task

You can see which batteries are currently failing and which ones are near failure by examining the following data.

Procedure

  1. On the Battery Prediction chart, click the red column for the current or future months. All batteries displayed in the Batteries list should be replaced soon.
  2. You can also determine if a battery is near the end of its lifecycle by examining the age, charge level at a given time, total charge cycles and remaining battery capacity.
  3. Estimate when batteries are likely to fail by comparing their performance from previous months with their estimated future performance. Batteries that show steadily decreasing performance from month to month may need replacement.
    Note: You can change the number of past and future months displayed on the chart by clicking the Chart Parameter button.
