Uninstalling SOTI Connect in a Distributed Environment

Before you begin

Close any running Windows Services and Task Manager applications.

About this task

This task provides instructions for uninstalling SOTI Connect in a distributed setup. Follow the uninstallation order to ensure proper removal of services and database records.
CAUTION: In a multi-server setup where the Management Service (MS) and File Store Service (FS) are installed on different machines, the FS cannot be reused if MS is uninstalled while FS remains.
This scenario assumes that SOTI Connect is installed on three machines:
Machine 1 Management Service (MS) + Logging Service (LS)
Machine 2 File Store Service (FS)
Machine 3 Protocol Adapters (PAs)

Procedure

  1. Uninstall Protocol Adapters (PAs) from Machine 3.
  2. Uninstall File Store Service (FS) from Machine 2.
    Note: In the installer, select Delete SOTI Connect Data From SQL Server to remove FS database entries.
  3. Uninstall Management Service (MS) from Machine 1.
    Note: In the installer, select Delete SOTI Connect Data From SQL Server to remove FS database entries.
