Uninstalling SOTI Connect in a Cluster Environment
Before you begin
About this task
This scenario assumes that SOTI Connect is installed on two machines:
| Machine 1 | Management Service (MS) + File Store Service (FS) + Logging Service (LS) |
| Machine 2 | Failover Management Service (MS) |
Important:
- Always uninstall Protocol Adapters (PA) first, followed by File Store Service (FS), and then Management Service (MS).
- Ensure the correct database options are selected to avoid accidental data loss.
- Back up SQL database entries if necessary before uninstalling clustered components.
Uninstalling a Failover MS
Procedure

Uninstall
SOTI Connect from Machine 2.
Warning: Do not clean the SQL database.

Uninstall SOTI Connect from Machine 1.
Note: In the installer, select Delete SOTI Connect Data From SQL Server to remove database entries.
Uninstalling File Store Service (FS)
Procedure

Uninstall SOTI Connect from Machine 2 (FS).
Note: In the installer, select Delete SOTI Connect Data From SQL Server to remove database entries.

Uninstall SOTI Connect from Machine 1 (FS + MS +
LS).
Note: In the installer, select Delete SOTI Connect Data From SQL Server to remove database entries.
Uninstalling Failover MS and FS
Procedure

Uninstall FS from Machine 2.
Note: In the installer, select Delete SOTI Connect Data From SQL Server to remove FS database entries.

Uninstall MS from Machine 2.

Uninstall SOTI Connect from Machine 1 (MS + FS +
LS).
