Unenrolling a Device

About this task

Unenrolling a device removes it from active management in SOTI Connect but does not permanently delete it. The device moves to the Rejected Devices tab under New Devices, where you can re-enroll (approve) it at any time without repeating the full enrollment process.

Tip:
  • Use Unenroll if you want to temporarily stop managing a device while keeping the option to re-enroll it later.
  • Use Delete if you want to permanently remove the device from SOTI Connect. See Deleting a Device for details.

Procedure

  1. From the SOTI Connect main menu, select Devices. The Devices view opens.
  2. In the left pane, select the device group that has the device you want to unenroll.
  3. In the right pane, do one of the following:
    • Select the checkbox next to the device(s) you want to unenroll.
    • Select the device name to open the device information panel.
  4. On the device action bar, or in the device information panel, select Unenroll. A confirmation dialog box appears.

  5. In the confirmation dialog box, select Confirm.

Results

The device is now unenrolled from SOTI Connect. You can re-add it at any time by going to the New Devices section of the Alerts view and selecting the Rejected Devices tab and selecting Approve.
