Restriction Rules

Use the Restriction Rules page to set enrollment restrictions on the maximum number of devices for a specific user group.

Important: To access this feature, first Allow the Manage Authentication User Group Enrollment Limit permission located in Main Menu > System Settings > User and Permissions > General Permissions > Manage Servers and Global Settings.


Name	The name of the user group that receives the restriction rule. This user group must be available within the associated service. Note: The default restriction rule name is Everyone. When you add more rules, Everyone becomes Everyone Else.
Service Name	The connection service where the endpoint offers available user groups. You can assign a restriction rule to these user groups. Select to add groups. Choose a directory service from the list and use the Search Groups field to find a group. You can add a new directory service connection by selecting Manage Services. For Directory, you can choose from: Directory For Identity Provider, you can choose from: Identity Provider SOTI Identity The chosen directory service is the connection service. You can then Search Groups to select an existing user group within the connection service or create a new user group name within the connection service.
Device Enrollment Limit	A number greater than or equal to 0 indicating the maximum enrollment for the associated service's user group. Note: Setting the limit to 0 prevents the user from enrolling any device in SOTI MobiControl

After making changes, follow the prompts to Save or Cancel them.
