SOTI Hub

Use the SOTI Hub profile configuration to make your enterprise content accessible to device users via the SOTI Hub app. Do this when:

You can also manage how device users use the app.

Note:
  • It is possible to assign multiple SOTI Hub profile configurations to the same device. If there is a conflict between the settings of different configurations, the most restrictive settings apply. For example, if an Inactivity Timeout is set on one configuration but not the other, the inactivity timeout applies to the device.
  • Every time a SOTI Hub configuration is reassigned to devices, device users become logged out while the SOTI Hub app applies the changes.

Application Settings

Allow User to Save Password Allow the device user to save a password for the login screen.

If you have set a Prefill Username (but not the Prefill Password - see Content Repository Settings below), the application also remembers the username.

Note: This option controls log in behavior for the SOTI Hub app and the enterprise repositories.
Content Refresh Interval Specify how frequently (in minutes) the SOTI Hub app contacts the content repository server and synchronizes any changes to the content on the SOTI Hub app.
Enable Login Select to force the app to display a login page for LDAP credentials.

This option requires an active link to an Enterprise Resource Gateway.

Inactivity Timeout Enable to configure application behavior when SOTI Hub is idle for a duration defined in minutes.
Time Specify how long (in minutes) the app can be inactive (that is, the screen is off, or the user has not interacted with the app) before the SOTI Hub app logs the device user out.
Cancel Transfers on Inactivity Timeout Cancel any file transfers that are in progress when the Inactivity Timeout period expires. This option is selected by default. If it is not set, the Inactivity Timeout period begins after all file transfers are complete.

This option is not available when Inactivity Timeout is disabled.

Create New Content Allow device users to create new files (documents, spreadsheets, slideshows) and upload images within the SOTI Hub editor and then upload them to the content repository. New content is saved locally and is accessible from the My Files section of the SOTI Hub app. Device users must upload the new content to the content repository separately. See Creating Content Within SOTI Hub for more information.
Enable Copy and Paste Allow device users to copy and paste content from local files saved in the SOTI Hub app. The files are accessible from the My Files section of the SOTI Hub app. Device users must upload the local content to the content repository separately.

Enable Copy and Paste is only available when Create new content is enabled.

Enable File Share Allow device users to share local files in the SOTI Hub app with other device applications. These files are accessible from the My Files section of the SOTI Hub app. Device users must upload the local content to the content repository separately.

Enable File Share is only available when Create new content is enabled.

Enable File Print Allow device users to print local files in the SOTI Hub app. These files are accessible from the My Files section of the SOTI Hub app. Device users must upload the local content to the content repository separately.

Enable File Print is only available when Create new content is enabled.

Hub Device Report Allow device users to view real-time and historical SOTI Hub device usage data. Based on the Data Sync Frequency period configured, the SOTI Hub Agent sends the collected data to the SOTI MobiControl Server using the communication protocol. The collected data is stored in the SOTI MobiControl database. SOTI MobiControl administrators can generate the reports under the Global Reports section to validate all the downloaded, accessed, or read files along with the associated device, file, and repository information. See Accessing Real-Time and Historical SOTI Hub Device Usage Data for more information.
