Wi-Fi (Android Enterprise)

Configure WiFi settings on your devices when:

General: Network

Network Name Define the network name to which the device should connect. This name also serves as the identifier for the wireless policy.

General: Security

Security Type Select the protocol you wish to use on the network. Choose from:
  • WEP
  • WPA/WPA2
  • 802.1x Enterprise
    Note: If you select 802.1x Enterprise, the protocol and authentication configuration options appear. Select from the following protocols:
    • TLS
    • LEAP (not supported for AMAPI-enrolled devices)
    • EAP-FAST (not supported for AMAPI-enrolled devices)
    • TTLS
    • PEAP
    Configure the following authentication options:
    Username Enter the username or use a macro to define it.
    Password

    Enter the corresponding password for the username.

    User Identity Certificate

    Select a certificate to authenticate the wireless network connection.

    Note: Only pre-uploaded certificates appear in this list.
    CA Certificate

    Select a certificate authority (CA) certificate to verify the network connection.

    Note: Only pre-uploaded certificates are available.
    Phase 2 Authentication

    Choose the secondary authentication protocol.

    Note: GTC and MS-CHAP-V1 are not supported for AMAPI-enrolled devices.
    Anonymous Identity

    Enter an externally visible identifier (applicable for TTLS, PEAP, and EAP-FAST protocols).

  • None
Password Enter a password to connect to the network.

Proxy

Proxy Choose from the following:
  • Automatic: Enter a PAC URL to retrieve proxy settings.
  • Manual: Enter proxy settings manually.
  • None: Skip proxy settings for the Wi-Fi connection.
URL Enter the Proxy Auto-Configuration (PAC) file URL containing proxy settings.
Note: This option is only available when opting for Automatic proxy.
Proxy Server

Specify the proxy server address and (optionally) the port number.

Note: This option is only available when opting for Manual proxy.
Exceptions List any host exceptions that should connect directly without using the proxy. Separate entries with commas.
Note: This option is only available when opting for Manual proxy.
