Opting Out of the Windows Notification Services

About this task

When WNS is disabled, enrolled Windows Modern devices receive configuration changes and other updates according to their check-in schedules. Until you explicitly opt out of WNS, any add devices rules for Windows Modern devices will fail with an error message instructing you to enable WNS.

To opt out of Windows Notification Services (WNS):

Procedure

Select Global Settings from the main menu.
From the Settings tree on the left, select Windows > Windows Notification Service to display the Windows Notification Service page (see Windows Notification Service).
Turn off the Enable Windows Notification Service toggle.
Click Save.
