WiFi (Android Enterprise)
Configure WiFi settings on your devices when:
General: Network
Network Name | The name of the network to which the device should connect. This is also the name of the Wireless Policy. |
Set as Active Network | If enabled, allows or restricts the device to connect to the WiFi network
automatically when you push the profile configuration to the agent
for the first time. Note: If you set a new WiFi profile to Set as
Active Network and assign this profile to a device, the
new profile replaces the existing WiFi profile only if
the WiFi signal strength is 'Good' or higher. |
General: Security
Security Type | Select the security protocol to use on the network. You can select WEP, WPA/WPA2,
802.1x Enterprise or None. If you select the 802.1x Enterprise security protocol, the following configuration sections are displayed: In the Protocols section, you can select
TLS, LEAP, EAP-FAST, TTLS, and/or PEAP.
Note: LEAP and EAP-FAST
protocols are not supported for AMAPI-enrolled
devices. In the Authentication section, you can set the following options:

Password | Enter a password to connect to the network. |
Proxy
Proxy | Choose a proxy type:

URL | Enter a URL to the Proxy Auto-Configuration (PAC) file containing the proxy settings.
This option is only available if Automatic is selected as the Proxy type. |
Proxy Server | Enter the address, and (optionally) the port number, for the proxy server.
This option is only available if Manual is selected as the Proxy type. |
Exceptions | Enter any host exceptions that you want to connect directly to instead of through the proxy.
Use commas to separate host exceptions. This option is only available if Manual is selected as the Proxy type. |
