WiFi (Android Classic)

Configure WiFi settings on your devices when:

General: Network


Network Name	The name of the network which the device should connect to. This is also the name of the Wireless Policy.
Set as Active Network	If enabled, allows or restricts the device to connect to the WiFi network automatically when you push the profile configuration to the agent for the first time. Note: If you set a new WiFi profile to Set as Active Network and assign this profile to a device, the new profile replaces the existing WiFi profile only if the WiFi signal strength is 'Good' or higher.

Security Type

The security protocol currently being used on the network. You can select WEP, WPA/WPA2, 802.1x Enterprise or None.

If you select the 802.1x Enterprise security protocol, the following configuration sections are displayed:

In the Protocols section, you can select TLS, LEAP, EAP-FAST, TTLS, and/or PEAP.

In the Authentication section, you can set the following options:

Note: 802.1x WiFi is only supported on certain devices. Check Vendor Compatibility Matrix: 802.1x Enterprise WiFi for supported devices.


Username	Enter the user name, or enter a macro used to set the user name.
Password	Enter the password for the provided user name.
Use Identity Certificate	Select a certificate used to connect to the wireless network. Only certificates that have been uploaded to SOTI MobiControl appear in this list.
CA Certificate	Select a CA certificate used to verify the wireless network connection. Only certificates that have been uploaded to SOTI MobiControl appear in this list.
Phase 2 Authentication	Select the Phase 2 authentication protocol to use.
Anonymous Identity	Enter an externally visible identification for the wireless connection (for TTLS, PEAP, and EAP-FAST only).

Password

Enter the password required to connect to the network.


Proxy	SOTI MobiControl offers proxies to be automatically or manually configured. If Automatic is selected, enter a URL in the URL field. If Manual is selected, you must enter data in the Proxy Server and Exceptions fields.
URL	If Automatic is selected as the proxy setting, enter the URL of the proxy here.
Proxy Server	If Manual is selected, enter the address, and (optionally) the port number, for the proxy server.
Exceptions	If Manual is selected, enter any host exceptions that you want to connect directly to instead of through the proxy. Use commas to separate host exceptions.
