Time Machine
The Time Machine profile configuration enables you to specify the location of a server used to back up a macOS device and to select backup options. You do this when:

Backup Server | Enter the URL of the backup server destination. |
Backup All Volumes | Select this option to back up all the volumes associated with the device. By default, only the startup volume is backed up. |
Backup System Files and Folders | Select this option to back up all system files and folders. |
Automatic Backups | Select this option to schedule automatic backups at regular intervals. |
Local Snapshots | Select this option to enable local backup snapshots when the device is not connected to the network. |
Backup Size Limit | Enter the maximum size limit in megabytes used to back up the system. Set this value to zero for unlimited backup size. |
Paths to Skip | Enter any specific file paths you want to skip when the startup volume is being backed up. |
