Managed Google Play

The Managed Google Play feature enables administrators to control how device users update Managed Google Play apps on their devices.

Application Updates

Application Updates Select an option to determine if and when device users can update their Managed Google Play apps:
  • Allow User to Configure: Device user controls when the app is updated
  • Always Update: App is auto-updated
  • Never Update: App is never auto-updated
  • Update on WiFi Only: App is auto-updated only while the device is connected to WiFi

Maintenance Window

This section is available for Work Managed and Work Profile devices.

Maintenance Window

Turn on the toggle to enable definition of the maintenance window. Within this window, the following requirements for Google app updates will be ignored:

  • The device is charging
  • The device is idle (not actively used)
  • The app to be updated is not running in the foreground
Note: The device will be able to get app updates outside the maintenance window while meeting the above requirements.
Starting Set the start time for the maintenance window.
Ending Set the start time for the maintenance window.

Application Feedback

Application Feedback Enable this option to collect feedback logs from Managed Google Play applications pushed through SOTI MobiControl.
