Step One: Integrate Certificate Authority Services

Integrate third-party Certificate Authority services in SOTI MobiControl to enable automated certificate life-cycle management. Supported services include ACME, ADCS, EJBCA, Entrust, SCEP, and Sectigo.

About this task

Integrating third-party certificate authority services is the first step in enabling SOTI MobiControl to perform certificate life-cycle or management actions from the web console. See Deploying Managed (Dynamic) Certificates for more details.

Note: SOTI MobiControl integrates the following Certificate Authority services:
  • Automatic Certificate Management Environment (ACME)
  • Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS)
  • Enterprise Java Beans Certificate Authority (EJBCA)
  • Entrust
  • Generic Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP)
  • Sectigo

Procedure

  1. Log in to the SOTI MobiControl web console as administrator
  2. From the main menu, select Global Settings.
  3. From the Global settings menu, select Services > Certificate Authority to open the Certificate Authority page.
  4. In the Certificate Authorities section, select Add () to open the Certificate Authority dialog box to integrate your certificate authority service.
  5. Give your certificate authority connection a descriptive name.
  6. Select the Certificate Authority service. Options are:
    • ACME
    • ADCS
    • EJBCA
    • Entrust
    • Generic SCEP
    • Sectigo
    Note: Advanced configuration options appear based on the selected certificate authority service. For options specific to your chosen certificate authority type, see Certificate Authority Integration Details.
  7. Select Save.

Results

You have successfully integrated your third-party Certificate Authority service.
Tip: Once integrated, you can use the Test Connection command to verify connectivity.
