    - Control Profile Changes with the Request Approval Setting
      The Request setting enables an approval workflow for profile configuration changes in your environment. When enabled, only users, groups, or roles with the Bypass Approval on Profile Creation permission can make changes without requiring approval. This setting helps enforce governance while allowing flexibility for trusted roles.
    - Reviewing a Profile Change Request
      Review and action profile change requests in SOTI MobiControl. When a request is submitted, you can access it through the Profiles section or Notifications menu. Approving a request applies the changes to devices, while rejecting it preserves the current configuration.
    - Submit a Profile Change Request for Approval
      Use this task to submit a profile change for approval. After saving and assigning a profile, SOTI MobiControl prompts the user to submit the change for review. The profile remains locked until an approver accepts or rejects the request.

Approval Workflow for Profile Changes

This overview outlines the fail-safe configuration for mission-critical profiles, designed to enhance the reliability and security of profile management in SOTI MobiControl.

Administrators can now enforce an approval process for modifying mission-critical profiles in SOTI MobiControl. This workflow prevents unintended changes to configurations such as Wi-Fi and lockdown profiles by requiring administrative approval before any edits, deletions, or reassignments take effect. SOTI MobiControl logs each step and notifies stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.

This setup is applicable to the following platforms:

Android
Apple (excluding tvOS)
Windows (excluding Windows Mobile/CE)

This approval process involves two key roles:

Requester: Roles with the new access permission can propose changes to profiles. See Editing Profile Access Permissions for details.
Approver: Administrators or users with the Approve Profile Request permission must review and approve the proposed changes before they are applied to devices. See Global Permissions for details.

This setup ensures that administrators review all profile changes before SOTI MobiControl applies them to devices. Use this configuration to:
