    - Control Profile Changes with the Request Approval Setting
      The Request setting enables an approval workflow for profile configuration changes in your environment. When enabled, only users, groups, or roles with the Bypass Approval on Profile Creation permission can make changes without requiring approval. This setting helps enforce governance while allowing flexibility for trusted roles.

Reviewing a Profile Change Request

Review and action profile change requests in SOTI MobiControl. When a request is submitted, you can access it through the Profiles section or Notifications menu. Approving a request applies the changes to devices, while rejecting it preserves the current configuration.

Before you begin

Ensure the Profile Approval Feature is enabled in Global Settings. See Global Settings.
Make sure that you have View Approval Request and Approve Profile Request permissions enabled. See General Permissions.

About this task

An administrator or user with approval permissions can view and act on profile change requests in the Pending Requests section when someone submits a change.

Procedure

To view pending profile requests, go to the Profiles section and check the top of the page, or select Notifications from the main menu
In the Pending Requests section, select the Profiles tab.
Select Review for the profile that you would like to approve or reject. The Review window opens with details of the profile changes.
Review the changes and either approve or reject the changes on the profile, then leave an optional comment.

Results

The system applies the selected action as follows:

When you approve the request, SOTI MobiControl applies the profile changes to the devices.
When you reject the request, SOTI MobiControl retains the current configuration. If the request involves a new profile, SOTI MobiControl leaves it in draft mode and unassigns it.
