Configuring OS Image for Windows Modern Devices

OS Imaging is the process of capturing a Windows Operating System (OS) image (golden image) from a device and deploying it to multiple endpoints. This ensures device consistency, removes unnecessary software (bloatware), and saves deployment time. Administrators can capture the golden OS image from an existing device and deploy it across many devices without manual intervention.

Types of OS Imaging
  1. Online imaging: Creates OS images remotely without requiring a reboot or interrupting device operations.
  2. Offline imaging: Creates OS images remotely and boots the device into Windows Pre-installation Environment (WinPE) mode for image capture.
