Updates Dashboard Overview

The updates dashboard includes the following features:
  • A table displaying key information about Windows OS and Microsoft application updates.
  • Customizable, interactive charts visualizing data relevant to devices and update policies.
  • Filters to refine devices and updates by various update properties.
  • A group tree structure (excluding virtual groups). For groups without an assigned update policy, the updates section remains empty.

Updates Charts

The following four charts are available:
  • Status
  • Published Date
  • Type
  • CVE Severity
Each chart provides unique insights into Windows Modern devices with assigned update policies. Navigate through the charts to explore available options and configure or position them as needed.

Filtering the Updates Dashboard

You can filter the dashboard using either of the following methods:
  • Select sections of the charts provided on the dashboard.
  • Apply a filter from the card present on the left side of the chart section.

CVE Count Displays the number of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) associated with a particular patch update. Clicking on the CVE count opens a popup showing the list of related CVE IDs along with their severity levels. Within this popup, each CVE ID is selectable and redirects to the official CVE website for further information about the vulnerability.
Important: Microsoft publishes patch details through Knowledge Base articles, each of which may be linked to one or more CVEs. The Update can address more than one security vulnerability, each identified by a unique CVE ID. These CVEs may also have different severity ratings. This means one update may resolve several issues of varying risk levels.
Note: Updates and CVE details are fetched automatically from the Microsoft Server at a frequency of 4 hours.
Note: More than one update may share the same KB number but have different classifications.
Remember: The updates dashboard shows approved updates as installed, but the device details list them as pending until the updates are actually installed on the device.

Use the button beside a device group and select Policy List to view information on the update policies assigned to the selected group.
