- Creating an Analysis Profile
  - Collection Mode Types
    Collection Mode determines how often data is collected from the device. Choose from three preset options described in the table below to ensure all devices in an analysis profile follow the same data collection frequency.
  - Parameter Thresholds
    The following settings are on the Watchlist tab of the Analysis Profile setup wizard. Use them to control when to send alert notifications for each device.

  The App Spotlight provides information about the applications running on devices. For example, the number of times an app was opened, the amount time of an application runs in the foreground across devices, and the upload/download data usage of an application.

  Override a device's rated battery capacity value to get more accurate readings and measurements for analysis. SOTI XSight can provide estimated rated capacity values for devices that are generally more accurate than those provided by the manufacturer (see operational_intelligence/device_analysis_dashboards/battery_status_dashboard.html). After deploying a device and allowing its characteristics to stabilize, use the estimated rated capacity value provided by SOTI XSight to override a manufacturer’s rated capacity value.

Editing an Analysis Profile

About this task

You can change the settings of any programmed analysis profile as your changing business needs demand.

Procedure

To edit an Analysis Profile:

In the Analysis Profile view, hover over the profile you want to edit then select Edit. The Analysis Profile wizard launches.
From the Analysis Profile wizard (see Creating an Analysis Profile), edit the profile name, description, SOTI MobiControl configuration, data collection settings and watchlists.
