Firewall (Android)

Use the firewall profile configuration to set up application-based and device-level firewall rules. These rules help filter web/ app traffic and re-route network traffic. The available firewall configuration options vary depending on the Android persona used:

Android Classic
Android Enterprise Corporate Owned Personal Enabled (COPE)
Android Enterprise Work Managed

Tip: To ensure full functionality for IPv6 support, upgrade your SOTI MobiControl device agent to version 2024.0.0 or later.

Android Classic & Android Enterprise COPE

The Android Classic and Corporate Owned Personal Enabled (COPE) firewall payload leverages the Samsung IP firewall feature to enable Samsung device users to filter and re-route network traffic. See Configuring Samsung IP-Based Firewall on Android Devices.

Android Enterprise Work Managed
