Manage device registry settings for your Windows Modern devices.
Before you begin
About this task
Note: Supported registry data types for the HKLM (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE) hive include:
- REG_SZ: String value
- REG_BINARY: Binary data
- REG_DWORD: 32-bit number
- REG_EXPAND_SZ: Expandable string
- REG_MULTI_SZ: Multi-line string
- REG_QWORD: 64-bit number
Important: Do not upload registry keys
related to system performance, memory consumption, or critical processes. These may
require specific conditions and cause delays.
Procedure

Create a Windows Modern profile and add the Registry
configuration from the Restrictions list. See Creating a Profile.

Name the configuration and choose a deployment method:
- Manual: Add up to 500 keys manually.
- Import: Add a valid .reg file (up to 200 MB).

For Manual configurations, enter the following details and select
Add.
- Sub-Key: Path within the header key.
- Data Type: Type of registry value.
- Value Name: Name of the registry setting.
- Value Data: Value as a string, number, or binary data.
The registry settings list populates with the added details.
Tip: To edit or delete a setting, select (more) next to it.

For imported configurations, select Import File as the
source and upload a registry file from your PC.
Note: To use an earlier uploaded file, select Select File. To delete an added file, select (delete). - Save and assign the configuration to your Windows Modern devices. See Assigning a Profile.
