About this task
To keep each SOTI MobiControl user's permissions clearly defined, maintainable, and scalable, you should follow this workflow:
Procedure
- Create roles - see Creating Roles.

Define permissions for the roles you have created:
- General - see Defining General Permissions
- Device group specific - see Defining Permissions Based on a Device Group

Add to SOTI MobiControl:
- Groups (LDAP, IdP, and so on) - see Adding Groups
- Users (LDAP, Azure, or local) - see Creating Users

Assign to the roles:
- Groups - see Assigning Groups to Roles
- Users - see Assigning Users to Roles
