Using LifeGuard OTA for Upgrading Firmware on Zebra Devices
The minimum requirements for a device to use Zebra LifeGuard OTA are as follows:
- The device is a Zebra device
- The device is enrolled as AE
- The device meets the OS requirements:
- Android 10: C21 and TC26
- Android O and P: TC52, TC72, and PS20
- Android O: TC57, TC77, TC20, TC25, TC83, VC83, MC93, EC30, ET51, ET56, CC600, CC6000, and L10A
- Android N with LG Update 19 and later, as well as O: TC51, TC56, TC70x, TC75x, VC80x, and MC33
- Zebra Data Services (ZDS) are enabled on the device (ZDS are enabled by default)
- The device meets the minimum requirements for FOTA
To upgrade firmware on Zebra devices using LifeGuard OTA:
- Register a Zebra LifeGuard OTA account for your SOTI MobiControl instance. See Register Zebra LifeGuard OTA Account for more information.
- Enroll the participating Zebra devices in the OTA program. See Enroll Zebra Devices for LifeGuard OTA Firmware Upgrades for more information.
