Disabling a Compliance Policy

About this task

Disabling a compliance policy prevents it from checking compliance.

Note: Devices deemed non-compliant by the disabled compliance policy become compliant. If email access gets blocked due to non-compliance, SOTI MobiControl notifies the Microsoft Exchange server to reset email access to its default behavior.
Important: Do not disable the default compliance policies.

To disable a compliance policy:

Procedure

  1. In the Compliance Policies view, select a compliance policy's name to open its Compliance Policy Information panel. Select the Disable button from the Compliance Policies Actions list.
You can also select > Disable beside the compliance policy.
  2. Select Disable.

Results

The compliance policy is now disabled. Disabled policies can be re-enabled following the same steps. Devices flagged non-compliant due to this policy become compliant (if no other policy flagged them) and any non-compliance actions that were active get revoked.
