Configuring Group Settings

About this task

When you create an incident in SOTI XSight, you specify a group the incident will belong to. Groups enable your organization to segregate incidents by customer team/group. This simplifies support workflows, prevents cross-organization data exposure, and enhances incident reporting and resolution by dedicated groups/teams. Off-the-shelf, your implementation features a single default group, called Default. The Default group can be neither disabled nor deleted.

To change SOTI XSight settings:

Procedure

  1. On the Menu bar, click the Menu button Main menu button and select Settings.
  2. Click the Groups button at the top of the page. The available group settings are displayed.
  3. On the left side of the Settings view, click on the setting type you want to change.
  4. Make the required settings changes on the right side of the settings view. As soon as you change a setting, Save and Cancel buttons appear at the bottom of the view.
  5. Click the Save button to save the settings changes.
  6. When you have finished making the required settings changes, you can return to the incident dashboard by clicking on the Menu button Main menu button and selecting Incident Management.
    Note: You may need to log out of SOTI XSight and log back in for the settings changes to take effect.
