Changing What Is Displayed On a Dashboard

About this task

There are various ways in which you can control what information is displayed on a dashboard. When you make any of the following changes, the list of devices at the bottom of the dashboard is updated to reflect your change.

Procedure

To change the data source:
  • At the top of the dashboard, select one of the available data sources from the Data Source list.
Only data sources that have been added to SOTI Insight appear in the Data Source list.
To change the data collection time period:
  • At the top of the dashboard, select a time period from the Date list, or specify beginning and end dates from the From and To lists.
To select which charts to display on the dashboard:
  • At the top of the dashboard, click Charts and select which charts you want displayed.
To select or change a MobiControl device group:
  • Near the top of the dashboard, select a MobiControl device group from the Device Group list.
To filter the data displayed:
  • Click on a data segment in a chart to filter the data displayed by the other charts on the dashboard. The data segments in the other charts, and the list of devices at the bottom of the dashboard, will automatically update to display only the data and devices that relate to the data segment you clicked.
To deselect the data segment that was clicked, just click the segment again. The other charts, and the device list, will then return to their previous display.
To configure the data range displayed by a chart:
  • Some charts can be configured to change the range of data displayed. For example, on the Battery Status dashboard, you can configure the Top 5 App Drain chart to instead display the top ten apps that consume the most battery power.
To configure the data range displayed by a chart, hover over the chart title. If the chart can be configured, an edit button (showing a pencil icon) appears at the top right of the chart. Click the edit button to configure the data range that is displayed by the chart.
