Using the Intensive Care Unit

About this task

The Intensive Care Unit dashboard displays a list of devices that have exceeded one or more parameter thresholds that you can configure. This enables you to quickly determine which devices may require remedial attention. Devices that have exceeded three or more parameter thresholds are placed on the Critical list.

To configure the device parameters you want to track, and the threshold for each parameter:

Procedure

  1. On the menu bar, click the menu button and select View Dashboard.
    The Dashboard view opens.
  2. In the left pane of the Dashboard view, click Intensive Care Unit.
    The Intensive Care Unit dashboard opens in the right pane.
  3. In the left pane, click the menu button next to Intensive Care Unit and select Edit ICU.
    The Intensive Care Unit Parameters dialog box opens.
  4. In the Intensive Care Unit Parameters dialog box, select the device parameters you want to track, and the threshold for each parameter.
    When you are done, click Save to save the parameter settings and close the Intensive Care Unit Parameters dialog box.

Results

Devices that exceed a device parameter threshold will now be added to the corresponding parameter list.

Devices that exceed three or more parameter thresholds will be added to the Critical list.

To refresh the list of devices in the Intensive Care Unit, click the Refresh button at the top right of the Intensive Care Unit.

To export the list of devices in the Intensive Care Unit, click the Export to CSV button at the top right of the Intensive Care Unit.
