Configuring SOTI Cloud Link Agent

Before you begin

  • Ensure that the SOTI Cloud Link Broker is already configured. See Configuring SOTI Cloud Link Broker for details.
  • Verify that you have Administrator rights on the VM.
  • Confirm that the VM has access to the required certificates.

About this task

This procedure describes how to configure the SOTI Cloud Link Agent and register it with SOTI Connect.

Procedure

  1. Download the SOTI Cloud Link Agent installer to the VM from: SOTI Cloud Link Agent Installer.
  2. Run the installer and follow the prompts to complete the setup.
  3. From the SOTI Connect web console, navigate to Global Settings > Services > Cloud Link.
  4. Under the Agents tab, select the icon to register a new SOTI Cloud Link Agent.
  5. Select Copy Configuration to copy the agent configuration details to the clipboard.
  6. Open the SOTI Cloud Link Agent Admin Utility Tool.
  7. Select Add, then paste the copied configuration details.
    Note: For Azure environment, modify the configuration file C:\Program Files\SOTI\CloudLink\Soti.CloudLink.GrpcServer.exe.config. Search for KeepAliveTimeInMs and set its value to 1600000. Restart SOTI Cloud Link Agent using the Admin Utility.

Results

The SOTI Cloud Link Agent appears in the SOTI Connect Agents table.
Note:
  • You may need to trust the SOTI Connect root certificate in the SOTI Cloud Link Agent VM.
  • You may also need to trust the SOTI Cloud Link Broker SSL certificate if it is not issued by GoDaddy.
Troubleshooting:
  • Any errors are logged in C:\ProgramData\SOTI\CloudLinkAgent
  • Most issues are related to SSL certificate trust failures.
