Migrating a File Store Service

About this task

This task describes migrating an FS from one machine to another.

Note: This procedure applies to SOTI Connect v2.4 and later.

Procedure

  1. Using Windows Services, stop all running MS and FS instances.
  2. Copy FS files from the existing or default location to a new FS file location.
    Note: The new FS location can be either a shared network location (for FS clustering) or a file system location on a new machine (for a single FS instance).
  3. Install FS on the target machine. See Installing FS with MS and Installing a Standalone FS for more information.
  4. Uninstall FS from the source machine.
