Selecting a Rule Type
Select the type of rule or a configuration you want to create.
| Data Collection Rule | Collect data from devices at scheduled times. Tip: SOTI recommends choosing only the required
properties to collect historical data, not everything. Important: Targeting no more than 20,000
devices using a single data collection rule is recommended. Stagger
this 10 to 15 minutes apart for optimal server
performance. |
| Action Rule | Perform device actions at scheduled times. |
| Group Automation Rule | Perform device actions based on state changes or persistences (group of devices). |
| Individual Automation Rule | Perform device actions based on state changes or persistences (individual devices). |
| Enrollment Rule | Enroll new devices into the system and perform initial setup. |
| Compliance Rule | Customize criteria that define whether devices are compliant or not. |
