Add SOTI MobiControl
Use the Add SOTI MobiControl dialog box to add a new SOTI MobiControl instance to SOTI Assist.
Instance Details
| Instance Name | Enter a descriptive name for the SOTI MobiControl instance to make it easily identifiable. |
| Access URL | Enter the URL of the SOTI MobiControl instance. For example:
https://myinstance.com/mobicontrol/ |
Configure Credentials
| Select a Type | Select the method you want to use to add the SOTI MobiControl instance: automatic or manual.
Automatic will automatically retrieve data from the SOTI MobiControl database, update information in the SOTI MobiControl database to point to SOTI Assist (required for creating incidents and remote control sessions), and add a new client ID and client secret to the SOTI MobiControl database. To use the automatic method, the SOTI Assist server must have access to the SOTI MobiControl database. Manual will require you to manually create a client ID and client secret, retrieve the remote control certificate data and key data from the SOTI MobiControl database, and update the SOTI Assist URL and remote control URL in the SOTI MobiControl database to point to the SOTI Assist instance. |
Automatic
| SOTI MobiControl Database Server | Enter the SOTI MobiControl database server.
Note: The SOTI MobiControl database server must be accessible to the SOTI Assist server.

| SOTI MobiControl Database Name | Enter the SOTI MobiControl database name. |
| Authentication | Select the method used to authenticate to the SOTI MobiControl database. Select Windows to connect to the database using Windows authentication, or Database to connect to the database using SQL Server authentication. If you select SQL Server authentication, enter the corresponding username and password below.
Note: You must have update permissions for the SOTI MobiControl database.

| Username | Enter the username used to connect to the SOTI MobiControl database when SQL Server authentication is used. |
| Password | Enter the password used to connect to the SOTI MobiControl database when SQL Server authentication is used. |
Manual
| Client ID | Enter the client ID of the SOTI MobiControl instance you want to add.
The client ID can be generated using the SOTI MobiControl Administration Utility. |
| Client Secret | Enter the client secret of the SOTI MobiControl instance you want to add.
The client secret can be generated using the SOTI MobiControl Administration Utility. |
| Remote Control Certificate Data | Enter the remote control certificate data.
The remote control certificate data can be obtained from the SOTI MobiControl database. |
| Remote Control Key Data | Enter the remote control key data.
The remote control key data can be obtained from the SOTI MobiControl database. |
