When you record a remote control session, you have the option of recording the device's microphone along with the device's screen. This enables you to include audio from the device user in the recording.
To start recording a remote control session:
-
Click the Record Video Only button on the remote control toolbar.
If you also want to include audio input from the device's microphone in the recording, click the Record Video With Device User's Voice button that appears when you hover over the Record button. A prompt will then appear on the device, asking the user to accept the terms and conditions that allow you to record audio from the device microphone. Once the device user accepts the terms and conditions, recording will start.
To pause recording:
-
Click the Pause Recording button that appears when you hover over the Stop Recording button.
To resume recording:
-
Click the Resume Recording button that appears next to the Stop Recording button when a recording is paused.
To stop recording a remote control session:
-
Click the Stop Recording button on the remote control toolbar.
Once you have stopped recording, SOTI Assist processes the recording and attaches it to the incident, where you can replay, download, or delete it.
CAUTION: Terminating the remote control session during a recording, or prior to a recording being processed, may result in the loss of the recording.
