Installing the Stella Plugin

Install the Stella plugin to enable chatbot functionality.

Before you begin

Ensure you have the Manage SOTI Plugin permission enabled. See General Permissions for details.

About this task

Installing the plugin enables the Stella AI chatbot in the SOTI MobiControl web console. Once installed, administrators can use natural language prompts to quickly search data, generate reports, and get guided help as Stella explains features and supports troubleshooting by referencing content from SOTI Pulse. See Using Stella for more information.

Procedure

To install the Stella plugin:

Navigate to the SOTI MobiControl main menu, then select Global Settings. The Global Settings page opens.
On the Global Settings page, select MobiControl Services > SOTI Plugins.
In the SOTI Plugins section, select Install. The Install Stella Plugin window opens.
Select the checkbox to accept the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, then select Install to continue.
After installation completes, select one of the following options:
- Close: Close the installation window.
- Assign a User: Open a new window to assign users who can access Stella. See Managing Stella Licenses for more details.

Results

After installing the plugin, Stella is ready for use. You can now assign users Stella licenses and begin using Stella in the SOTI MobiControl web console.
