Configuring Company Branding and Bypassing Intune Auto-enrollment

Configure enterprise branding for Microsoft Entra ID and prevent devices from enrolling into Microsoft Intune by adjusting the MDM and MAM user scopes.

Before you begin

Make sure you have completed Capturing the Hardware ID and Resetting the OOBE.

About this task

This is the second step of setting up your Windows desktop devices to use Windows Autopilot bulk enrollment. See Using Windows Autopilot Bulk Enrollment. This step prepares your environment for Autopilot enrollment using SOTI MobiControl by:
  • Applying your organization's branding to the Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE).
  • Disabling automatic enrollment in Microsoft Intune. Ensuring devices enroll exclusively through SOTI MobiControl.

Procedure

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center using an administrator account.
  2. Navigate to Company Branding > New Language.
  3. Customize the branding elements (background, logo, messages) as needed.
  4. Select Save to apply your branding changes.
  5. Navigate to Mobility (MDM and MAM) > Microsoft Intune.
  6. Set the following options:
    • MDM user scope → None
    • MAM user scope → None
Entra ID Microsoft Intune user scope settings.
Note: These settings ensure that devices do not automatically enroll in Intune during the Autopilot process.

Results

Your Microsoft Entra ID tenant is now branded, and automatic enrollment into Microsoft Intune is disabled.
