Enrolling XTreme Hub Devices

About this task

Use SOTI MobiControl to create an enrollment policy for XTreme Hub and enroll your devices as an XTreme Hub server.

Procedure

  1. In the SOTI MobiControl console, navigate to the hamburger menu and select Policies.
  2. In the Policies page, select Enrollment > Add Enrollment Policy.
  3. In the Enrollment Policy window, navigate to Windows > SOTI XTreme Hub. The General tab opens.
  4. On the General tab, enter a name and description for the policy, then select Next. The Group tab opens.
  5. On the Groups tab, enter an authentication password that is going to be used for device enrollment, then select the device group destination. Then select Next.
  6. The Settings tab opens and select from the available settings to your desired configuration.

    Setting Description
    Enrolled Device Name Customize the name of devices enrolling by specifying a combination of text and or macros.
    Preserve Device Location on Re-enrollment Enable this option to preserve the device's membership in its device group when re-enrolled.
    Preserve Device Name on Re-enrollment Enable this option to preserve the device's name when it is re-enrolled.
    Activation Date Enter the date when this policy takes effect.
    Activation Time Enter the time when this policy takes effect.
    Set Deactivation Date Specify the date when this policy deactivates.
    Rule Tag The Rule Tag is a string embedded in device agents that belong to this enrollment policy.
    Access Token Validity Period This section represents the validity period for access tokens issued under the enrollment policy. It must be at least 5 minutes or less than 5 minutes from the Refresh Token Validity Period.
    Refresh Token Validity Period This section represents the validity period for refresh tokens issued for the enrollment policy. It should be minimum 1 day.

    Setting Description
    Manage Certificate Authorities Select this option to configure certificate authorities and create certificate templates dynamic for each user and device.
  7. After configuring the settings, select Next.
  8. An Enrollment Policy Info page displays and you can download the XTreme Hub server device agent.
  9. Run the downloaded agent on the target device to enroll it as an XTreme Hub server.

Results

You created an enrollment policy for XTreme Hub devices and can enroll them using the device agent.
