Application Run Control
Use the Application Run Control profile configuration to control which applications are accessible on your devices, even if they are already installed.
Blocking certain applications can result in increased security and improved productivity for device users.
Configure either a Blacklist or a Whitelist, depending on the number of applications you want to block. However, some device types, such as Android Enterprise, only support blacklists.
A Blacklist blocks applications that are listed in the blacklist. Use a blacklist when blocking a few applications.
A Whitelist blocks applications that are not listed in the whitelist. Use a whitelist when blocking the majority of the applications on your device.
If the purpose of an application or package ID (like
com.company.application
) is unclear, it may be preferrable to
let it operate rather than block it.
