Web Content Filter

About this task

Use the Web Content Filter to restrict and permit user access to websites on Windows Modern devices. The Web Content Filter requires Windows 10 or later, and supports Microsoft Edge version 115, Chrome version 90 and Firefox version 89 or later.

Procedure

  1. From the main menu, select Profiles.
  2. In the top-right corner, select New Profile. The Add Profile dialog box opens.
  3. Select the Windows > Windows Modern device family type.
  4. Enter a Profile Name and Description.
  5. Select the Configurations tab.
  6. Select Add to add a Profile Configuration.
  7. In the Restrictions panel, select Web Content Filter. The Web Content Filter dialog box opens.

  8. Select a Filter Type:
    • Block: Select this option to block the specified URLs or IP addresses for all browsers.
    • Allow: Select this option to allow the specified URLs or IP addresses.
    Restriction: You can add a maximum of 1000 URLs.
  9. Select Add.
  10. Enter the URL or IP address that you want to blacklist or whitelist.
  11. Select Save.
  12. Optional: To save your policy and assign it later, select Save.
  13. Optional: To save your policy and assign it now, select Save and Assign.

Results

You have created a web content filter that can restrict or permit user access to the URL or IP addresses in the blacklist or whitelist.
